Mitsune 蜜音 - Hazama

A stop motion paper cutout animation for Mitsune track 'Hazama', created by Mitsune band member Tina Kopp. The video was made from thousands of photographs taken in Tina’s DIY home animation studio in Berlin, and consists of original character artwork created from linocut by band member Shiomi Kawaguchi, and handpainted scene artwork from Berlin acrylic & mixed media artist Sabine Sikora. The video explores the theme of “hazama” (Japanese for “in between”), the sense of being in limbo or between worlds. This word aptly describes the band’s experiences as a cross-cultural group, each member with entirely different backgrounds and cultural stories. Through music, they are unified and find a common place – in the ether, the abstract dreamspace where music exists. Director’s statement (Tina Kopp): “After Shiomi finished her artwork for the album cover I instantly wanted to bring these figures to life and let them present our music. With stop motion animation, we had the chance to dive into the feeling of being in limbo, of getting lost and fitting pieces together, of finding a space of belonging where we couldn't have imagined before. And even the Moon Rabbit that is referenced in the lyrics at the end gets a special appearance. All three of us contributed ideas and handcrafted pieces to this music video and Sabine Sikora's scene artwork transposes everything into a universe of its own.” Directed by: Tina Kopp Animation & DOP: Tina Kopp Edit: Tina Kopp Character Artwork: Shiomi Kawaguchi Scene Artwork: Sabine Sikora Assistants: Youka Snell & Shiomi Kawaguchi Supported by Initiative Musik gGmbH with project funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media. D.$AHIN - Uzun ince/ Intro in Emin - Live in my living room

"Uzun ince/ Intro in Emin - LIVE"stream & download here: https://dsahinmusic.bandcamp.com/ More from D.$ahin: Web: http://www.dsahinmusic.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dsahinmusic ---- "Uzun ince bir yoldayım" is one of Aşık Veysel's best known works and is still popular among fans of Turkish folk music.[1] (Wikipedia) After my dad passed away in summer 2019 this song made it from my subconscious into my active mind, as it was aimlessly floating around in my brain - waiting to be left free. So I learned it on guitar and started performing it here and there. It took it´s own time to develop and a while after I was inspired to add an english verse. "Intro in Emin" was supposed to be an Interlude. I was thinking about some choirs and some interesting progressions. It became three things: 1.) The song where I finally learned the technique of palm-muting on guitar. 2.) a full song over the years while performing it solo in various settings. 3.) an expression of lingering confusion about the state of the world and an understanding of my own neurodiversity. This performance was supposed to be that: a performance. Then I decided to release it. Because I like the rawness of it. UZUN INCE Uzun ince bir yoldayım Gidiyorum gündüz gece Bilmiyorum, ne haldayım? Gidiyorum gündüz gece Gündüz gece Gündüz gece Gündüz gece hey Dünyaya geldiğim anda Yürüdüm aynı zamanda İki kapılı bir handa Gidiyorum gündüz gece Gündüz gece Gündüz gece Gündüz gece hey Ever since I have been around All the treasures I´ve lost and found Every memory I recount Time is endless Non-linear Time is endless Non-linear Non-linear hey INTRO IN EMIN I don´t understand How this world operates Am I acting my fate Am I here to create Gotta be navigating All these unsaid rules Is it me is it you Acting like a fool But it´s okay If I´m misunderstood It´s okay If I´m misunderstood It´s okay if I remain misunderstood ´cause in myself I feel powerful Powerful Powerful Powerful It comes down to what I see It comes down to what I see Don´t you dare to tell me How to live reality It comes down to what I see It comes down to what I feel Don´t you dare to tell me How to live reality ------ Uzun İnce Bir Yoldayım: Written by: Aşık Veysel Intro In Emin: Written by: D.$ahin DOP & Editing: Dico Baskoro https://www.dicobaskoro.com/ Recorded, arranged & mixed by: D.$ahin

They are coming together driven by their common passion for Greek and Balkan polyphonic traditions. They explore the symbols, languages and dialects, myths and tales, melody and structure of songs that have been accompanying generations and generations of people in the celebration of life and expression of love, in the working-field, in migration, in the time of war, in the mourning of death, in the praising of nature.“Perperúna” is a female symbol, an archaic tradition, that survives in the Balkans and refers to a ritual that local women in rural areas are carrying out in times of drought, to ask “god(s)” to pour rain and make the fields and trees spring… GEMA-Licence Kundennummer: 402600002090
